Evelyn Strickland

PENDERGRASS – Evelyn E. Strickland, 82, died Sunday, November 8, 2009, following an extended illness.

She was a native of Barnes County, S.D., was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Strickland.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Gary Rocha, Braselton, Cathy and Charlie Knowles and Karen and Chuck Howlett, all of Pendergrass; grandchildren, Tony Rodriguez, Orlando, Fla., Jeff and Wendy Knowles, Bethlehem, Joe and Natalie Knowles, Waleska, Melissa and Chris Tozier and Michelle and Shawn McCurdy, all of Eustis, Fla., Stephanie Rocha, St. Pete, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Ethan Knowles, Ashley Knowles, Zachary Rodriguez, Sarah Rodriguez and Gabriel Rodriguez; brother, Orville Payne, Williston, Fla.; and sisters, Myrt Akin, Columbus, Carol Kohler, Blakely, and Fern Mainor, Jesup.

She has been taken to Knauff Funeral Home in Williston, Fla., for funeral services and burial in Orange Hill Cemetery.

Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, Buford, is in charge of arrangements.
