The soul of Dillon Craig Veal went “Home” on Monday, October 5, 2009, to join his “MawMaw’ Frances Blalock and stepson Kaynen Carlan in His Father’s Heavenly Kingdom. Dillon now waits with open arms for those of us blessed to know him, now left to grieve the loss of this amazing wonderful loving soul: wife, Christie Michelle Veal; children, Rylee Savannah Scales and Zadic Tarant Veal; “Momma” Karen Whitfield, “Daddy” Bobby Whitfield; “Father”, Billy Veal; siblings, Jeremy and Scotty Whitfield, Michelle Bennett, Dustin and Fallon Veal; beloved uncle, aunt and niece, Tim, Tracy and Courtney Ledford; many dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; cherished friends, Judy Smith, Susan Davis, Sue Ellen Hullett, Andy and Bonnie Norwood; the families of each, and “Brother” Talsey McCullough.
Rodney Wilbanks honored Dillon, delivering a deeply moving, heartfelt tribute to him on October 9th, at 4 p.m., in Ivie’s Chapel, touching the hearts of all present who know and love Dillon.
Dillon was carried to rest by Jeremy Whitfield, Talsey McCullough, Seth Blalock, Rodney Scarborough, John Gary and Keith Lackey.
Dillon came to know Christ many years ago, inviting Jesus into his heart, accepting Him as his personal savior. The miracle of Dillon was his gift to touch each and every soul he met. On this earth, Dillon lived for the Lord, now Dillon lives with the Lord, walking hand in hand with Jesus on streets of gold.
We miss you every second of every day and try hard to follow your example and make you proud so that we’ll be reunited when we’re called “home.”
Thanks to everyone who expressed their sympathy and showed their support. It’s been greatly appreciated.
We love you Dillon.
