COMMERCE – George Vernon Love, 60, died Friday, October 30, 2009, at his residence.

Born in Stanley County, N.C., he was the son Lucy Carelock Love Teeter and the late Conley Love. Mr. Love was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Cook Love; and a brother, John Carl Love.

Survivors in addition to his mother include children, George Love Jr., and Jeanie Love, both of New Jersey, Jason Ross Love, Winder, and Jessica Renee Love, Commerce; brothers, James Clyde Love, Alaska, Benny Cash Teeter and Robert Dale Teeter, both of North Carolina; sisters, Linda Love Huffstetler, Martha Jane Love, Connie Love Kinley and Debra Teeter Love, all of North Carolina; and five grandchildren.

No memorial services are scheduled at this time.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
