Wilma Williamson

Wilma Hix Williamson, 93, of Commerce, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.

She was born in Madison County, the daughter of the late Luther and Pearl Bolton Hix. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Ms. Williamson was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Williamson.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Eleanor Williamson, Commerce; daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Ronnie Ray, Commerce; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Julie and David Trejo, Rome, Mollie and Mark Brower, Kailua, Hawaii, and Lauren and Jonathan Milford, Commerce; great-grandchildren, Addie Grace and Darrell Trejo, both of Rome.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 15, at 11 a.m., at Berea Baptist Church with the Revs. Terry James, Verlin Reece and Grady Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the Williamson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home.

The family asks that flowers be omitted and donations be made to the Berea Baptist Church or the Berea Baptist Church Community Center, c/o Shirley Stephenson, 545 A.C. Smith Rd., Commerce, GA 30530.
