JEFFERSON – Miss Jessie Griffeth, 94, died Thursday, October 29, 2009.
Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma Shields Griffeth. She was a homemaker and a member of Maxey Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include a niece, Louise Moon, Jefferson; nephews, John Griffeth, James Griffeth, R.L. Griffeth, all of Jefferson, Jester Griffeth, Duane Griffeth and Joe Louis Griffeth, all of Athens; and an aunt, Irene Griffeth, Athens.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 1, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Pattman officiating. Burial will be in the Woodbine Cemetery in Jefferson. Serving as pallbearers will be Rob Campbell, Will Campbell, Josh Campbell, Douglas Gaithright, Jake Daves, and B.J. Pattman. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, October 31, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
