Ina Belle Benton

COMMERCE – Ina Belle Harris Benton, 91, died Friday, October 23, 2009.

Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Eddie and Claudia Nunn Harris. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Benton was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Benton.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Latrelle and Billy Thomas, Murrayville, Carolyn and Frank Gaines, Winterville, Janice and Melvin Adams, Commerce, and Judy and Jerry Williams, Gainesville; sister, Edna McElroy, Athens; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, October 25, at Berea Baptist Church with the Revs. Grady Jordan and Terry James officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens.
