BUFORD – Christopher “Chris” Michael Kiley, 23, died Tuesday, October 20, 2009.
He was the son of mother and stepfather, Judy and Greg Cain of Jefferson and father and stepmother, Michael and Marian Kiley, Auburn. He worked for Kiley’s Landscaping and Reliable Door. Chris, aka Big Country, had a passion for cars, car shows and working on cars. He graduated from Jackson County Comprehensive High School in 2006. He was always there for anyone that needed him and never asked for anything in return, loved ones stated. He was our “Big Teddy Bear”.
Mr. Kiley was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Frank and Rose Kiley; uncle, Tom Hartmann; step grandmother, Linda Cain.
Survivors include brothers and sisters and their spouses, Daniel and Allison Kiley, and Willy, Christopher and Tina Kurhanewicz, all of Buford, Jennifer and Chris LaValle, Auburn, Rebecca and Will Freeman and Jessica and Eric Hutson, all of Jefferson, Jeremy Ketchum, Roswell; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Vivian Hartmann, Sister Bay, Wis.; step- grandparents, Clara Benstead, Columbus, and Larry Cain, Lawrenceville; aunts and uncles, Don and Lisa Hartmann, Woodstock, Ill., Carol and Mark Campeau, Ellison Bay, Wisc., Maureen and David Young (godparents), Rochester Hills, Mich.; nieces and nephews, Zeke, Kaylee, Lily, Cameron, Alexis, and Cannon; and cousins.
A service to celebrate the life of Chris will be held Saturday, October 24, at 1 p.m., at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with the Rev. Chris Gaddis officiating. Burial will be in the Woods Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 22, from 5 to 9 p.m. and Friday, October 23 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Tom M. Wages Funeral Service, 120 Scenic Hwy., Lawrenceville, is in charge of arrangements.
