JEFFERSON – Brenda Dianne Hayes Dalton, 59, died Sunday, October 18, 2009.

Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Zora Mae Pritchett Hayes. She was a nurse with Athens Regional Medical Center and was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Hayes.

Survivors include her husband, Merel Dalton, Jefferson; a son, Jason Dalton, Jefferson; daughter, Brandy Dalton, Jefferson; brothers, Tommy Hayes, Jefferson, Randy Hayes, Comer, and Timothy Hayes, Winder.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 21, at 3:30 p.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Evans Memory Gardens in Jefferson. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
