‘Dot’ Carter

Dorothy “Dot” Carter, 67, of Auburn, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Gwinnett Medical Center.

A Fulton County native, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Rosetta Anderson Newton and was a homemaker.. She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby McKnight; and a sister, Sue Scott.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Carter; a son, Eddie McKnight; brother and sister-in-law, Marcus Eugene and Kathy Newton, Auburn; brother-in-law, Mack Scott, Auburn; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 5, in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Arlene Smith officiating. Burial was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.

Carter Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
