ATHENS – William Douglas “Billy” Pursley Jr., 44, died Sunday, October 11, 2009.
Born on August 13, 1965, in Barrow County, he was the son of William Douglas Pursley Sr. of Jefferson and the late Evelyn Aikens McClain. He was a truck driver with Athens Auto Wrecking.
Survivors in addition to his father include his wife, Jeanette Pursley, Athens; sons, Justin Pursley, Athens, Courtland Pursley, Elberton; sisters, Janet and Eugene Kimsey and Runelle and Barry Wilbanks, all of Jefferson; brothers, Alan and Evelyn Aikens and Dale and Kathy Aikens, all of Dacula, Timmy Pursley and Joe and Michelle Pursley, all of Jefferson, and Tommy and Nancy Pursley, Crawford; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, October 13, at 7 p.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Dugar Strickland officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service.

My deepest sympathy for the Pursley family. I know many of you and I will be praying for you all.
