NICHOLSON – Liza Jane Brooks, 27, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009.
Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Donald Alfred and Ellen Carlisle Brooks of Commerce. She worked as a CNA with BJC Nursing Home.
Survivors in addition to her parents include a daughter, Jade Brooks, Nicholson; brother, Don Brooks and his fiancé, Jami Williams; sister and brother-in-law, Ellie and Roger Martin; grandmother, Estelle Carlisle; nephews, Jacob and Dylan Martin; niece, Hailey Martin; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 11, at 2 p.m., from the Revival Baptist Church with the Revs. Joel Shadburn, Larry Lee, Lloyd Hoffer, and John Mullinax officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Don Brooks, Dwight Brooks, Roger Martin, Derek Ray, Jeremy Ray, and Donald Brooks. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday and Saturday from 3 to 9 p.m.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
