WINDER - Ruth Jackson, 81, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009.
Born in Walton County, she was the daughter of the late Burse and Lillie Rowe Meadows. A member of Union Baptist Church, she worked for David's Fine Foods for many years. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Jackson.
Survivors include a son Calvin Jackson, Macon; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Steve Carter and Cathy and Jerry Montgomery, all of Winder; grandchildren, Celena Hooper and William and Ashley Jackson; great-grandchildren, Bryson and Abigail Jackson; and sister, Dot Broach, Monroe.
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 8, from Smith Memory Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Walden officiating. Burial was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
