Troy Owens

NICHOLSON – Troy H. Owens, 76, died Sunday, October 4, 2009, at his residence.

Born in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Edgar and Anna Payne Owens. He was retired from Westinghouse. Mr. Owens was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Owens Mann; and a brother, Harold Owens.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Henson Owens; daughters and sons-in-law, Troyce Ann and William Pawlowski, Colbert, and Barbara O. and David Elrod, Diamond Hill Community; brother and sisters and spouses, Susie Sumner, Alberta Santmyers, Van (Lee) Williams and Bill (Jean) Owens, all of Carnesville; son-in-law, Marty Mann, Danielsville; grandchildren, Melanie Elrod Masters, Melissa Elrod and Dylan Mann.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 7, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Union Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, October 6, from 6 to 8 p.m.
