AUBURN - Darrell Allen, 62, died Saturday, October 29, 2011.
He was the son of the late Woodrow and Gaynelle Jones Allen. Mr. Allen was a Vietnam Veteran of The United States Army and was a cable installer with Key Services.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Millholland Allen, Auburn; daughters, Sandra Grover, Braselton, and Kerry Blackstock, Auburn; brothers, G. W. Allen and Johnny Allen, both of Auburn, Tony Allen, Statham; and four grandchildren.

WINDER – Laura Hammond Williams, 80, died Thursday, October 27, 2011.
Born in Winder, she was the daughter of the late Columbus and Lenora Greeson Hammond. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church for 68 years and served as the first woman elder of this church. She was devoted to her family, friends and church. She graduated from Statham High School. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Broadus “Briscoe” Williams.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Judith W. Hettinger, Cordova, Tenn., and Deborah W. and Nelson L. Ruiz, Atlanta; grandchildren, Reid Hettinger, Laura Hettinger and Briscoe Ruiz; two brothers and a sister, Gene Hammond, Forest Park, Jack Hammond, Tyrone, and Hammond Wenzer, Peachtree City; and many nieces and nephews.

WINDER - Mary Estelle Ray Carlisle, 71 died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born September 16, 1939, the son of the late James Kenneth and Annie Laurie Bennett. Harold served in the United States Air Force, was a graduate of Clemson University, and worked as a salesman for Agco, Inc for 40 years. Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Bennett.

STATHAM – Jimmy Daryl Jones, 63, died Monday, October 24, 2011 at his residence following a long battle with cancer.
Born in Augusta, he was the son of Margaret K. Jones of Acworth and the late James W. Jones. He was a retired district manager from United Insurance Co. of America. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war, where he earned several medals, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with two bronze stars and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was a quartermaster in the United States Coast Guard. Jimmy was a member of Bearcreek First Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Nita Jones, Statham; son, Jason Derrick Jones, Statham; grandchildren, Gavin, Grant, Trista and Tayden Jones; and a brother, Dennis C. Jones, Acworth.

Arlie Zebulon ”Zeb” Nix, 31, died Sunday, October 23, 2011.
He was the son of Arleen Klungle and husband Jim of Monroe and the late Freddie Nix. He loved coaching his son in baseball. He loved old trucks, and believed if it wasn't fast, fun and dirty, he didn't like it. He worked for Pittman Construction Company.

She was formerly of College Park where she had lived for 56 years before moving to Flowery Branch 23 years ago. She was member of Cornerstone Assembly of God. Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Iva Mae Thompson; and daughter, Brenda “Totsie” Patterson-Clay.
Survivors include grandsons and their wives, Grant and Suzanne Tillman and Robbie and Dawn Stys; great-grandchildren, Chelsey, Meghan, Grayson, Jack and Allison; a great-great-grandchild Aiden; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Christian Earls (10-18-11)
Christian Matthew Earls was born on July 18, 1990 to Jamie Millsap and the Rev. Calvin Earls, II. On Tuesday morning, October 18, 2011, Christian decided to take an early rest and suffer no more here on earth with us.
Christian was preceded in death by grandfathers, James E. Randolph and Col. Red Earls; grandmother, Dorothy Wilson; and great-grandparents, Roy Frank and Virgie Mae Miller and Otha and Callie Randolph, Sr.
Christian joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age and was a member on the junior. Christian attended Spout Springs Elementary, CW Davis Middle and Flowery Branch High School. He graduated from Lanier Career Academy and attended one year at Delaware State University, where he was Freshman Class President, Mr. Freshman and a red shirt on the football team, until his cancer came out of remission and at the request of the family came home to fight the cancer for a second time. Upon his return home he attended one semester at Georgia and then transferred to Georgia Perimeter College where he was enrolled until his death.
Christian loved so many things in life. First and foremost his nephew Casen, his family, friends, music and football.
He leaves to cherish his memories mother and stepfather, Kevin and Jamie Millsap; father, the Rev. Timms; and children, Evelyn Timms and Jimmy Timms. She was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church, was a retired farmer, and was a retiree of Georgia Shoe of Flowery Branch.
Survivors include children, Rachel Timms Taylor, Betty T. Capes and Jack R. Timms, all of Hoschton, Frances Timms Brock and Johnny Timms, both of Gainesville; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and a brother, Franklin Cleveland, Gainesville.
