COMMERCE - Everett William Mayfield, 81, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Northridge Medical Center.
He was born in Gwinnett County, the son of the late Rayford Gordy and Deli Rae Sewell Mayfield. He was a retired mechanic with Boyle Midway. Mr. Mayfield was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Shirley Mayfield.
Survivors include sons, Michael Mayfield, Commerce, and Charles Mayfield, Winder; sisters, Mary Adams, Duluth, and Annette Allen, Norcross; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Born in Commerce, he was the son of William Young and Elbertice Hix Barnette. He was the spouse to Sara C. Barnette. He was the owner of Barnette╒s Garage in Anderson, S.C. for over 30 years and a Veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his children, Gary Barnette, Tonya Barnette Sosebee and husband, Ronnie, Michael Callaham, David Callaham, Steve Callaham and wife, Joy, Eddie Callaham, Cathy Mundy and husband Roger, Elaine Nash and husband, Marcus, Debbie Perkins and Sharon Machen, all of Anderson, S.C.; sister, Donie Driver; brothers, Rapheal and Beeman Barnette, Georgia; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and spouse he is predeceased by a son, Rodney Barnette; and a sister Louise Trotter.

He was the son of the late Emory L. and Bessie Smith Jones. He was the owner of Jones Used Auto Parts and Recycling in Jefferson for 60 years and was a member of Union Baptist Church. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Varnum.

She was a member of the Jefferson First Baptist Church for 51 years. Her husband, M.J. “Mack” Huff; brothers, Wyatt, Boyce, George and Gene Williamson; and sisters, Margie Palmer and Myra Cody, all preceded her in death.

INDIANAPOLIS - Charlie H. Daniel, 66, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 19, 2011.
He was born March 15, 1945 in Monticello, Ky., the son of the late Charlie and Runie (Taylor) Daniel. Charlie married Melody A. Cline, and was employed in the Bus Division of General Motors Trucking for 28 years, retiring in 2005. After being saved as a young boy, he attended The Father’s House in Monticello, Ky. He was an avid NASCAR fan and deer hunter.
Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel; and two brothers, Warren and Clenso Bedwell.
Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years, Melody Daniel; sons, Eric Daniel, Aaron (Claudia) Daniel, Darren (Jessica Buck) Daniel, and Jason Daniel; grandchildren, Elijah, Grayson, Faith and Jenassa.
Visitation will be Friday, June 24, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. with funeral services Saturday, June 25, at 1:00 p.m.
