SWAINSBORO – Mildred Whitmire Youmans died Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.
She was a native of Jefferson and was retired from the Citizens Bank of Swainsboro. She was a member of Calvary Methodist Church, and had an avid love for fishing and crocheting. Mrs. Youmans was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Youmans.
Survivors include daughters, Connie Youmans, Debbie Youmans and Vicki Way (Johnny), all of Swainsboro; a sister, Joan Sizemore, Commerce; brothers, Charles Whitmire (Carol), Commerce, Bill Whitmire, the Dry Pond Community, and Mike Whitmire (Beth), Monticello; grandchildren, Brandon Youmans (Stacie), Jason Lewis (Anna), all of Swainsboro, and Adam Lewis, Albany; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb Youmans, Daisy Youmans and Dalton Lewis.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 29, at 2 p.m., from the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ray Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Eastbrook Cemetery. Mary Catherine Siple
STATHAM – Mary (Bissonnette) Siple, 56, died Sunday, October 24, 2010, following a series of health problems.
Born in Burlington, Vt., on January 31, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Ted and Cecile (Corrigan) Bissonnette of Winooski, Vt. She was a graduate of Winooski High School in 1972. Mrs. Siple was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Schuster.
She was a devoted mother and a highlight in many people’s lives. All who met her seemed to enjoy her personality and outlook on life. She loved to travel and was a free spirit.
Survivors include a son, James Siple; sisters and brother-in-law, Anne and Tony Kenny, Gail Boulerice and Joan Bissonnette; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Deborah Bissonnette and Leon and Barb Bissonnette; brother-in-law, Ken Schuster; several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins; and her loyal canine companion, Nesquik.
Her remains were cremated in accordance to her wishes. A memorial/reception will be held at the home of her son, James, in Statham on Wednesday, October 27, at 4 p.m. Vermont services will be held Monday, November 1, at 11 a.m., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winooski. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in Commerce, she was the daughter of the late Ezra Joel and Allie Allen Crocker. She was co-owner of B & C Dry Cleaning and then worked at Collins Dry Cleaning. She was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Baxter was preceded in death by her husband, John Ed Baxter.

She taught Sunday School for 28 years at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Norcross and was a member of the WMU. Mrs. Chesser was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Chesser Sr.; sons, Lowell Lee Williams, Robert Daniel Williams and Claude Chesser Jr.
Survivors include a daughter, Julia Chesser Smith, Jefferson; son and daughter-in-law, Paul Raymond and Carrie Chesser, Jefferson; brother, Ferrell Tatum, Damascus; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

JEFFERSON – Michael Eugene Hamilton, 62, died Friday, October 15, 2010.
Born in Carroll County he was the son of the late W.C. and Rilla Mae Hall Hamilton. He was a self-employed property manager and was of the Baptist denomination. Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Hamilton; and granddaughter, Anna Beth Hamilton.
Survivors include a daughter, Denah Hamilton, Jefferson; son, Aric Hamilton, Jefferson; sister, Tracy Hamilton, Jefferson; and six grandchildren.
