NICHOLSON – Eugene “Ted” Wampler, 50, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at his residence.
Born on October 1, 1959, in Monroe County, Ind., he was the son of Eugene W. Wampler and Virginia (Bohall) Pittman. On May 20, 1978, he married Marilyn East and they shared 32 wonderful years together. He was formerly employed at Arvin Technical Center in Columbus, Ind., and at Bob Poynter Chevrolet in Seymour, Ind. He was looking forward to the birth of his first grandson in July, 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn (East) Wampler; son, Travis Wampler (Brande), Greenwood; father, Eugene W. Wampler (Peggy); mother, Virginia Pitman (George), all of Bloomington; two nieces raised as their own daughters, Crystal Scott and Courtney George; brothers, Eddie Wampler (Nancy), Bloomington, Fred Wampler, Moyie Springs, Ind.; sister, Alice Miller (Rusty), Spencer; mother-in-law, Maxine Andis (Thomas), Evansville; father-in-law, Virgil East, Norman; brother-in-law, Doug Hubbard, Greenwood; and several nieces and nephews.

Wilda Maddox Wilson, 91, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010, in Charlotte, N.C.
She was born December 2, 1918, in Rebecca, the youngest of eight children of the late Guy Noil Maddox and Florence Carter Maddox, originally of Jackson County. A retired Muscogee County teacher, she was a 1940 Fine Arts graduate of Wesleyan Conservatory in Macon GA. She held a B.S. from Auburn University, an M.A. from Georgia State University, and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. At St. Paul UMC, she sang in the choir and was a member of the Miller-Wilson Sunday School Class and the Glad Sallys Circle. A lifetime member of the United Methodist Women, she was recognized in 2000 as St. Paul UMW’s “Quiet Disciple” for her service to the church and community.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. John E. Wilson, who served Georgia Methodist churches in Midville, Soperton, Americus, Tifton and Columbus.
Survivors include a son Dr. John E. Wilson, Jr. and his wife Nana Wilson, Pittsburg, Pa.; son and daughter-in-law, Guy A. and Gloria Wilson, Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Jeffrey D. Born on September 7, 1935, in Jefferson, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Nora Strickland Wright. He was the founder and owner of Camper City RV Dealership in Buford and he previously owned Wright’s Auto Mart in Oakwood.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Wright, Buford; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sarah Wright, Flowery Branch; daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Chuck Cancilla, Buford; grandchildren, Jessica Yaun, Benjamin Wright, Christina Bourne and Cayla Cancilla; one great-grandchild, Gabriel Yaun; brother, B.L. She was a homemaker and was a member of Hoschton First Baptist Church, Hoschton Women’s Civic Club, Hoschton Rebekah Lodge #98 and the Jackson County Historical Society. Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by a sister, Therese Legg, Commerce.
