DANIELSVILLE – Janice Elaine Forrester Phillips, 45, died Thursday, April 29, 2010, at her residence.
Born in Tate on September 24, 1964, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Martha Cox Forrester. She was a homemaker and caregiver and member of the Corinth Baptist Church in Marble Hill.
Survivors include her husband, Duane Kelly Phillips, Danielsville; sons and daughter-in-law, Colby and Tiffany Phillips and Tyler Phillips, all of Danielsville; brother, Jeff Forrester, Canton; sisters, Amy Isley, Canton, and Penny Barnes, Marble Hill.

COLBERT – Sarah M. Turner, 68, died Monday, April 26, 2010.
A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Clara Smith Murray. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Turner; sister, Lottie Cole; and granddaughter, Liv Turner. She was retired from Merrill Lynch with 42 years of service and was a lifelong member of Moon’s Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Anna Turner, Hull, and Brian and Tracy Turner, Colbert; sisters, Robena Simmons, Comer, and Margaret Shelton, Hull; brother, Kenneth Murray, Helen; and five grandchildren.

CARNESVILLE – Garfield Judge Cobb, 75, died Sunday, April 18, 2010, at BJC Medical Center in Commerce.
Born on March 29, 1935, in Toccoa, he was the son of the late Willie Lee and M.E. Presley Cobb. He had lived in Dallas, Texas, for 25 years and the rest of his life in Carnesville. He was a graduate of Toccoa High School and attended Clemson University on a football scholarship. He was a self-employed goldsmith.
Survivors include his wife, Maura Deighan Cobb, Carnesville; sons, Phil Cobb, Fort Worth, Texas, Mark Cobb, Carnesville, and Grant Cobb, West Point Military Academy in New York; a brother and sister-in-law, Postell and Carolyn Cobb, Westminster, S.C.; sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and Harold McDuffie, Carnesville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include his wife, Gleta Smith Bailes, and children, Rebecca Steward, Donald and Audrey Rielly, Wendy Bailes, Gary Smith and Sarah Lynn Shoe, Marcia and Jack Jackson, Jeff and Whitney Smith, Missy and Robbie Cobb; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She retired from Michigan Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan with over 23 years of service. She was a member of the Weaverville Presbyterian Church.
