DANIELSVILLE – Mildred Runette Beard Kirk Faulkner died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at her residence.
Born in Danielsville on August 26, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Hearlie Phillips Beard. She was a retired seamstress and of the Holiness Faith. She was married twice, first to the late David Chandler Kirk, second to the late Ralph Faulkner. Mrs. Faulkner was preceded in death by sisters, Avis Baxter, Clara Baxter, Mary Sue Haley and Margaret Kirk; and brothers, Buck, Bill and Harold Beard.
Survivors include a son, Pete Kirk, Royston; daughter, Becky Johnson, Danielsville; stepson, Tom Faulkner, Phoenix, Ariz.; stepdaughters, Janice Hubbard, Maysville, and Mary Williams, Commerce; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Irvin McElroy.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Peek officiating. Burial will be in the Danielsville Memorial Gardens. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Thursday, March 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family is at the home of Larry and Frances Kirk.

WINDER – Betty Jean Blanton, 62, formerly of Atlanta, died Monday, March 8, 2010.
She was born in Fulton County, the daughter of the late William B. Blanton Jr. and Lucille N. Blanton. She was a member of Atlanta First Baptist Church. Mrs. Blanton was preceded in death by a special aunt, Pauline Blanton Holden.
Survivors include a paternal aunt and uncle, Betty and Reyno Petree, Winder; and many cousins.
Graveside services were held Thursday, March 11, from the Blanton Family cemetery in Talbot County with the Rev. Dan Brown officiating.

A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late William Dorsey and Willie Jo Chandler Lord. She was formerly employed with Westinghouse and the University of Georgia and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Mrs. Lord was preceded in death by a sister, Trudie Collins.
Survivors include brothers, Roderick (Lane) Lord and Chris (Brenda) Lord; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A native of Clarke County, she was the daughter of the late Harry Gordon and Arnettie Bradley Melton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hull Baptist Church. Mrs. Colquitt was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Colquitt; the father of children, Harold D. Huth Sr.; and a brother, Robert G. Melton.

She was active for many years with Fine Finish and Advantage Behavioral Systems and was a member of Moon’s Grove Baptist Church where she was a helper with Grade 1 Sunday School Class. Ms. Henderson was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Henderson.
Survivors in addition to her mother include her sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Greg Wilkes, Colbert; brother, William T. “Trey” Henderson III, Danielsville; nephews, Michael J. Thomas and Taylor G. Wilkes; and several aunts and one uncle.
