She was the daughter of the late Dellmar and Eddie Kelley Dillard. She was a lunchroom manager for Clarke County Board of Education and was preceded in death by her husband, Emory Carter.
Survivors include daughters, Diane Gilbert, Callahan, Fla., and Dreta Hayden, Nicholson; son, Dana Carter, Athens; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

ELBERTON – Robert Lewis “Bob” Tiller, 74, of Spring Valley Healthcare Center, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Elbert Memorial Hospital.
Born on March 11, 1936, in Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late James Dorsey and Martha Grace Tiller. He was the owner/operator of Tiller Trucking Company. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. Mr. Tiller was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lucille Tiller Lee.

Mr. Doster was a member of Galilee Christian Church, and was a former member of the Pendergrass Volunteer Fire Department, the Jaycees and Lions Club; and served in the Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Sara Doster Seabolt and Foster Seabolt; nephew, Ronnie Seabolt.

Throughout his working career, he was a logger, bulldozer operator, an all around heavy machine operator and an airplane pilot. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Compton was preceded in death by a son, Michael Gene Compton; brothers and sisters, Waco D. Compton, Hulda Mae Petty, Wayne Compton, Amanda Weart and Neal Compton Jr.

Olive Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for over 50 years. He also served on numerous committees in the church. He was a retired brick mason and a member of Brick Layers Union #7, was a retired Jackson County bailiff, and was a member of the Gideons International, honorary member of the Georgia Sheriff’s Association and a North Georgia College Alum. Mr. McGinnis was preceded in death by a son, John Darrell McGinnis.
