CARLTON – Olis H. Winn, 88, died Monday, February 1, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Winn was the son of the late Dave S. and Zora Maxwell Winn and was preceded in death by brothers, Walter, Maxwell, Hoil, Hugh, Lawrence and Emmett Winn; and a sister, Drusilah Winn.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Graham, Carlton; brother and sister-in-law, Hollis and Patsy Winn, Washington; sisters, Mildred Crook, Loganville and Mary Elizabeth Doolittle, Athens; stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Len and Mary Graham, Comer; stepdaughter, Sheila Graham, Elberton; and step-grandchildren, Gina Thompson, Duluth, Leah King, Comer, and David Thompson, Elberton; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 4, at 1 p.m., in the Carlton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.

CANON – Floy Winona Gable McCollum, 85, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010.
Born in Franklin County on June 8, 1924, she was the daughter of the late George and Eva Brewer Gable. She was a seamstress in the textile industry and was a member of the Double Branches Baptist Church. Mrs. McCollum was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Alvin McCollum.
Survivors include daughters, Marie Fuller, Martin, Pat Massey, Canon, Shirley Mochet, Bowersville, Brenda Duncan, Royston; a son, Larry McCollum, Elberton; a sister, Imogene Jackson, Canon; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Double Branches Baptist Church, Friday, February 5, at 4 p.m., with the Rev. David Wilson and Mr. Danny Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakview Cemetery in Canon. A native of Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late Jim Edmond and Nancy Free Garrison. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War and was an avid horse and nature lover. Mr. Garrison was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jo Mathis Garrison.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, George Beasley Smith; daughter-in-law, Dianne Dills Smith; and brother, J.W. Hardman.
