Born in Italy, he was the son of Jim Bullard of Commerce and Fran Bullard of Winder. He was a member of the Bethlehem First Baptist Church, was a corporal with the Clarke County Fire Department, a realtor with Maynard and Bartlett Realty, and a member of the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1944 and attended the University of Georgia. He was a member and deacon emeritus of The Winder First Baptist Church and attended the Brotherhood Sunday School Class, going on mission trips with his Sunday School Class, Church and Georgia Baptist Disaster Teams. Mr. Braselton was a retired poultry inspector with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II in the occupation force in Yokohama, Japan. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, traveler, and loved his Lord, Church, family, friends, the beach and mountains, loved ones stated.
