Born in Morgan County, Ala., she was the daughter of Mablue Drinkard Entrekin and the late Joe Frank Entrekin. She worked as a day care provider.
Survivors in addition to her mother, include her husband, Kenneth Allen Greene, Loganville; son, Dustin Greene, Loganville; stepson, Allen Greene, Monroe; sisters and brother, Betty Lott, Jonnie Lange, Peggy Nappier and Mickey Entrekin, all of Alabama.

MAYSVILLE – Doris Whitlock Hulsey, 70, died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at Hill Haven Nursing Home in Commerce following a brief illness.
Born on June 27, 1938, in Hall County, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Louise Dale Whitlock. She attended Living Word Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Doodle” Hulsey; and a brother, J.D. Whitlock.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Nita and Jeffery Gailey, Talmo, Elizabeth Hulsey, Maysville; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jennifer Hulsey, Maysville; grandchildren, Heather Clark, Amber Gailey, Jeremy Gailey, Kristina Valles, Josh Valles, Aaron Valles, Jennel Murphy, Mallory Hulsey and Mikel Hulsey; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Reeves, Maysville, and Carolyn Anderson, Gainesville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 29, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeffery Gailey and Sister Ruby Wiley officiating. Burial will be in Grove Level Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 28, from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was a homemaker, a native of Dade County, Fla., and lived most of her life in southern Florida.

‘Rabbit’ Dowdy
JEFFERSON – Branson Ralph “Rabbit” Dowdy, 77, died Sunday, April 26, 2009.
A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Curtis M. and Addie Jackson Dowdy. He was retired from Reliance Electric with 23 years of service, and was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Dowdy was preceded in death by a brother, Lyndon Dowdy; and sister, Annette Smith. He was a loving father, husband, and loyal friend to his family and friends loved ones stated.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Storey Dowdy, Jefferson; daughters and son-in-law, Mandy McLeroy, Wanda and Dwight Standridge, all of Jefferson; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 28, from the Bethany United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dugar Strickland officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Cody Dowdy, Curtis Smith, Johnny Brown, Buzzy Blalock, Billy Barnett, Gerald Hart, Timmy Anglin and Pierce Nelms. Honorary pallbearers were Dwight Ward and Henley Wilkes.

GAINESVILLE – Gertrude Bishop Flanagan, 81, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at her residence following an extended illness.
Born on December 14, 1927, she was the daughter of the late W.T. and Fairlena Wilson Bishop. She worked for 37 years and retired from Chicopee. She was employed as a loom filter for Chicopee and was the first and only woman to ever hold that position. She was a charter member of South Hall Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer and was active in every field of her church. Mrs. Flanagan was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Lee Norris; and grandson, Scotty Norris. She was an avid deer and turkey hunter, and loved fishing and camping with her family, loved ones stated.
Survivors include her husband of 35 wonderful years, Frank Falnagan; daughter, Paulette Turk; sons and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Wayne Norris and Debbie Norris, Jefferson, and Ricky Flanagan; grandchildren, Gregg and April Lunsford, Patti Bynum, Keith Flanagan; great-grandchildren, Devin and Brad Bynum, Cody and Ashley Lunsford; and a stepdaughter, Kathy Tony.
