Survivors in addition to her parents, include a daughter, Nicole Gardiner, Alto; sisters, Debbie Banks and Rosemary Gicker, both of Homer, Wanda Roper, Oakwood, and Tammy Brand, Cleveland; brothers, David Reed, Homer, Mark Reed, Massachusetts, and Brock Reed, Athens; one grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Hughie Hoyt Worley, 85, of Toccoa, died Thursday, September 22, 2008, at his residence.
He was the son of the late Hughie Taylor and Desi Lou Smith Worley.
Mr. Worley was grandfather of Jason and Mary Worley, Lula; great-grandfather of Parker Worley, Lula; and uncle of Dwayne Worley and Cecil Worley, both of Banks County.

Born in White County on March 30, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Susie Mote Shelnut. She was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by former husbands, James Bellotte, Sr. and Frank Wilson; sister, Carolyn Smith; and brothers, Gene and JR Shelnut. She was a beloved grandmother and mother, loved ones added.

He was a member and a deacon of the Enon Baptist Church and was a farmer and self-employed carpenter. Mr. Echols was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Vernie Smith Echols; brothers, James Echols and Talmadge Echols; and sisters, Beulah Tribble and Lois Sims.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Marvin Brock, Lula, and Janice and Lloyd Wilson, Alto; Jimmy and Valvoreth Echols, Alto; brother and sister-in-law, William Clyde “Bill” and Glenda Echols, Alto; 12 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

He was born on January 15, 1953, in Hillsville, Va., the son of Curtis and Fredia Guynn of Mt. Airy, N.C. He was a heavy equipment operator and was Baptist. Paul, with his wife, made up the group "One Way", which was their ministry to Christ through music.
