HOMER – Richard “Steve” Boisclair Jr., 60, died Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Born in Jackson County on January 16, 1949, he was the son of the late Richard Boisclair Sr. and Guynell Parham Boisclair. He was a retired supervisor with Fieldale Farms and was of the Baptist denomination. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Boisclair was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Boisclair.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Jo Boisclair, Homer; sons and daughter-in-law, Danny and Amy Boisclair, Alto, Jeff Boisclair, Homer, and Terry Parson, Maysville; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Janice Boisclair, Alto, and Kenny and Debbie Boisclair, North Carolina; grandchildren, Michael, Taylor and Jackson Boisclair; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Friday, September 25, at 6 p.m., in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. John Umberhant officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the service hour on Friday.
