MAYSVILLE – George Ellis Crane, 54, died Tuesday, September 22, 2009.
He was the son of Freida Crane Campbell and stepfather David Campbell of Lula, and the late Eugene Ellis Crane.
Survivors in addition to his mother and stepfather include his wife, Jan Cooper Crane, Maysville; daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Jamey Ayers, Homer, and Hannah and Jeff Davis, Commerce; brother, Danny Campbell, Lula; sister, Donna Marcus, Lula; grandchildren, Addey Ayers and Anniston Davis; and a brother-in-law, Rickey Cooper, Commerce.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 25, at 2 p.m., from the Solid Rock Baptist Church with the Revs. Swayne Carlan and Phil Williams officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, September 24, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.

I'm so sorry to hear about Ellis passing away. I used to work with him at Westinghouse in Athens and I went to school with Jan. May God bless his family.
