COMMERCE – Tildon Wiley Sheridan, 95, died Thursday, September 17, 2009, at his residence.
Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Artie Jane Shannon Sheridan. He was a member of the Holiness denomination, and was a retired truck driver with Garrison Lumber. Mr. Sheridan was preceded in death by his wife, Farry Bell Bridges Sheridan.
Survivors include daughters, Syble Pangle and Faye Dial, both of Commerce, Jean Ervin, Homer, Ann Ayers, Baldwin, and Elizabeth Pressley, Carrollton; a son, Lee Sheridan, Commerce; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 19, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. David Tilson and John Cox officiating. Burial will be in the Hickory Flat United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, September 18, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
