BOGART – William C. “Bill” Childers, 64, died Monday, September 14, 2009.
He was the son of the late Marion Clint and Florence Elizabeth Powell Childers. He was a retired truck driver, was of the Baptist denomination, and was a veteran having served in the United States Army. Mr. Childers was preceded in death by a sister, Bell Reed.
Survivors include children, sons and daughters-in-law, Rhett and Jessica Childers, Commerce, Travis and Donna Childers, Bogart; daughter and son-in-law, Tara and Robert Faulkner, Statham; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Charles Childers, Gainesville, Jerry Childers, Dahlonega; sisters, Ann Phillips and Patsy Childers, both of Gainesville; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 17, at 2 p.m., at Barrow Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Donald E. Clark officiating.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
