JEFFERSON – Benjamin Mark Holdbrooks, 49, formerly of Duluth, died Friday, September 11, 2009.
Born in Haleyville, Ala., he was the son of the late Benny and Shirley Holdbrooks. He was a member of the Duluth First Baptist Church, All Seasons Hunting Club, and played Santa Claus for needy children.
Survivors include his wife, Alta J. Maxwell Holdbrooks, Jefferson; sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Chris Kemline, Lilburn; stepsons and wives, Chris and Kim White, Commerce, Rob and Candace Jones, Lawrenceville; aunt, Glenda Brogdon, Hoschton; friends and loves ones, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, September 15, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a memorial service at 8 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Truman Humphries officiating.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
