HOSCHTON - Weldon Samples, 67 died Thursday, September 10, 2009.
He was the son of Irene Samples and stepfather Leland Charles of Canton. He was a member of Roanoke Baptist Church in Cumming and was retired from Gwinnett County with 30 years of service.
Survivors in addition to his mother and stepfather include his wife of 37 years, Peggy Samples, Hoschton; son and daughter-in-law, Ashley and Sara Samples, Braselton; sisters, Jan Popham, Ball Ground, Judy Popham, Nelson, Linda Pugh, Dawsonville; sister-in-law, Shelia Carter, Lawrenceville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 13, at 2 p.m., in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with the Revs. Johnny Pugh and Joe Hulsey officiating. Burial will be in Hoschton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, September 12, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
