COMMERCE – Frank Gooch, 77, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at the BJC Nursing Home.

Born in Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late Ernest and Lillie Gooch. He was retired from Roper of Commerce and was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in Korea.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Brown Gooch, Commerce; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Rebecca Gooch, Commerce; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 11, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Revs. Terry Smith and Bill Manus officiating. Burial will be in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 10, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.

Larry, sorry to hear about your dad. I lost mine 11 years ago, and I miss him everyday.
