PAOLI – Forrest Larue Vereen, 22, died Tuesday, September 8, 2009.
He was the son of Julia Vereen, father and stepmother, Garrie and Windy Vereen. He was adored, respected, and will be sorely missed by all family and friends throughout the Madison, Clarke and Oglethorpe areas.
Survivors in addition to his parents include brothers, Colin and Everett Vereen; a sister, Jane Hunter Vereen; grandparents, Colonel and Mrs. Charles Larue Webb, Enterprise, Ala., Joyce B. Purvis, Canton; aunts, Tammy Webb, Hull, Kathleen Vereen and Jamie Purvis, Woodstock; uncle, Kyle Vereen, Athens; and numerous other family members, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 12, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, 963 Hwy. 98 East, Danielsville, GA. Following visitation, a celebration of his life will be held at Camp Kiwanis, 2613 Old Wildcat Bridge Rd., Danielsville, Georgia 30633 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Flowers are accepted at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by the Madison County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity, an organization that he believed in and supported.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
