Jody Weeks, 40, of Athens, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
Born in Lakeland, Fla., he was the son of James and Kay Hall Weeks. He was a loving husband, father and son and was there for anyone that needed him, loved ones stated.
Survivors include his wife, Tara Weeks; children, Kyle, Brittney, Chelsey, Austin; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Dezarae Weeks, Nicholson; sister, Lisa Bennett, Athens; paternal grandmother, Louise Martin, Alabama; mother-in-law, Carlene Jachimowicz; brother-in-law, Chris Fattig, Athens; sister-in-law, Tonya Fattig, Athens; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held Sunday, July 6, at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin Ward officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West, Bogart, was in charge of arrangements.
