Clairene Ferguson

WATKINSVILLE - Clairene Williams Ferguson, 78, died Tuesday, August 25, 2009.

A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Ferguson was the daughter of Omar Jackson and Hettie Damron Williams and was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Terry Ferguson and grandson, William Steven Morris. Mrs. Ferguson was a member of Edwards Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil Edward Ferguson, Athens; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia Gay and Mark A. Savage, Watkinsville, Dana Ferguson and Danny Morris, Bishop, and C. Kim and Joey S. Leverette, Gainesville; son, Kevin C. Ferguson, Auburn; brother and sister-in-law, Howard E. and Joann Williams, Athens; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Stiles Lovern, Bogart; grandchildren, Andrew M. Savage, Amanda Savage Dalton and husband, Jeremy, Alan Michael Savage, Matthew K. Morris, Megan E. Morris, Harrison C. Morris, Koey Leverette, Kara Grace Leverette, and Charlie Leverette; great-granddaughter, Amelia May Dalton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Thursday, August 27, at Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Fredrick Rowell officiating.

Bernstein Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
