CARNESVILLE – Dennis D. Gipson, 72, died Saturday, August 29, 2009, at his residence.
Born in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Tarsus and Leona Baird Gipson. He was a member of Bethel Holiness Church and was retired from Gold Kist.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Walls Gipson, Carnesville; daughter, Chanda Gipson, Carnesville; sons, Tracy Gipson, Carnesville, and Mark Gipson, Bogart; sisters, Lois Phillips, Nicholson, Berdie Mae Dockery, Riverdale, and Jean Watkins, Siloam; brother, Horace Gipson, Grayson; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 31, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Eugene Walls and Stevie Coomes officiating. Burial was in Bethel Holiness Church Cemetery.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
