JEFFERSON – James Henry “Jim” Willis, 70, died Wednesday, August 26, 2009.
Born on February 17, 1939, in Miami, Fla., he was the son of the late John and Mildred Willis. He was a gifted machinist, as well as a walking stick maker. He was a United States Army veteran having served in the Navy, and was a proud member of American Legion Post 56 in Jefferson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Susan Eileen Willis, Jefferson; sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Edina Willis, Idaho, James M. Willis, Athens; daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbi and Michael Buchanan, Kingman, Ariz., Renee and Gennaro Folco, Buford, Jaime and Nathan Rendelman, Clarkesville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Michael and Allissa Buchanan, Olivia and Victoria Willis; sister, Whilden and Theron Cook, Ashburn.
Memorial services will be held Monday, August 31, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Newbern officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, August 31, from 1 to 3 p.m., prior to the service.
