Justin Newberry

COMMERCE – Justin Wayne Newberry, 20, died Thursday, August 20, 2009.

Born in Covington on May 12, 1989, he was the son of Terry Wayne Newberry and mother and stepfather, Sharon Ann and Timothy Shawn Lewis. He was a member of Brockton Road Baptist Church. He was a major with the East Jackson Comprehensive High School ROTC for the school years 2004-2008, and was a junior fire fighter with the Harrisburg Fire Department 2003-2004. Mr. Newberry was preceded in death by grandparents, Paul Daniel Newberry Sr. and Betty Robertson.

Survivors in addition to his parents include grandparents, Sid and Linda Newsome, Ed Gazaway; sister, Samantha Nicole Newberry; stepsister, Brittany Lynn Evans; brother, Terry “T.J.” Wayne Newberry Jr.; and stepbrother, Nicholas Wayne Lewis.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 24, at Bethabra Baptist Church with Jesse Mealer and Col. Tom Taylor officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were T.J. Newberry, Ralph Newberry, Paul Newberry, Daniel Newberry, Chipper Newberry and Otis Newberry.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel, Forsyth, and Carter Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.

I've known Justin since I was very little. My whole family sends our condolences to the family, and we know what your going through. Justin was definitely a good kid, and every time I saw him, he was in a good mood. We miss you Justin, and we know he's looking down on all of us. (:

Justin was a great kid i remember when I lived with his mom and I would baby sit him and his sister, he could always put a smile on your face no matter what. I am so sorry for the lose and he will be missed by everyone.

justin was a great person and i loved him alot. he was always in a great mood and there for everyone when they needed help. now that i live with my dad again. i can help him out the way justin would. i have started to clean his room and it kills me that i wont be able to see him again. all i have is memories...some good and some bad. but i know that he would not want all of us dreading that he is gone he would want us to be happy. and it will be hard, for me it is the most hardest thing to do right now. we dont know what happen to justin the night he passed away, we have not yet got the results. but i do know he did not go in pain and suffering. the night before he passed away justin was happy and having a good time. cutting up with dad because dad looked funny doggy paddling in the kiddie pool so he was not mad or upset. and for ruby he loved her so much more than anyone he ever dated. and i love him and miss him dearly with all my heart and i wish i could see him one more time

hey justin i was just wanting to say hey and that i miss you bubba. i wish i could talk to you just one more time inside of writing stuff that i know that i wont hear you say anything back. one day when its my turn to go i will see you again. i know you are waiting on me at the gates of heaven. to see reunite once again for the rest of our lifes again...and i long for that day to come. i will be so happy when it is time. i love you justin!

Im sorry for your loss I knew Justin from Franklin County, I didnt hear much about him after he moved and then i found him on myspace a while back. He was a good guy, I remember he always made me laugh. If I can ever do anything for you just let me know. I miss ya kidd.
