Junior Scott

WINDER - Junior Scott, 83, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009.

Born in Shannon, Ala., he was the son of the late Elisha, Sr. and Katie Freeman Scott. He was a retired gutter and roofing contractor. Mr. Scott was a member of East Side Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ward Scott, Winder: son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Arlene Scott, Jasper; grandchildren, Jason (Terry) Scott, Jarrod (Susan) Scott, all of Winder; step grandchildren, Jerri Forrester, Blairsville, Denise Stanley and Bobby McHan, both of Covington; great- grandchildren, Jackson Scott, Will Scott, Spencer Scott, Jacob Scott, Gina Scott, Joanna Scott and Zachary Seabolt; brother, Charles Scott, Alabama; sisters, Doris Peyton and Frances Scott, both of Alabama, and Pearline Simmons, Tennessee.

Graveside services will be held at Friday, August 14, at 11 a.m., at Barrow Memorial Gardens with Mr. Jason Scott officiating. Memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 1000 Hurricane Shoals Rd., N.E., D1200, Lawrenceville, GA 30043.

Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
