Christopher Brian Wylie, 32, of Homer, died Friday, June 27, 2008, following injuries sustained in an accident while driving his pick-up truck.
He was born in Gwinnett County on November 27, 1975, the son of Lynn Wylie. He was preceded in death by his dad, Gary Wylie; and grandfather, Ben Wylie.
He will be remembered as a devoted and loving son, father, husband and friend, loved ones stated. He was currently working as “Head Electrician” by Country Boy Satellites of Homer, was a Nascar racing and automobile fanatic, and enjoyed fishing and camping trips and evening gatherings with family and friends. He was well known for his Texas Pete Chicken Wings and other cooking creations.
Survivors in addition to his mother, include a daughter, Rebecca Wylie; former wife, Susan Wylie, Homer; father, Kenneth Larry, Sugar Hill; paternal grandmother, Louise Jones, Sugar Hill; maternal grandmother, Willie Bratcher, Lawrenceville; one half-brother; two stepbrothers; one stepsister; three uncles; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, July 2, at 3 p.m., at Damascus Baptist Church in Homer with the Rev. Gene Todd officiating.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
