WINDER - Edna Lanelle Hardy Rowden, 84, died Sunday, August 9, 2009.
Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lourene Sims Hardy. She was preceded in death in 1994 by her husband, Lamar Rowden. She had resided in Barrow County for most of her life, was a member of Bethabra Baptist Church, and served as an L.P.N. with Dr. F. A. Sims, Jr. in Lawrenceville.
Survivors include children, Carole Ivie, Winder, and Robert Wayne Rowden, Athens; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 11, from the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Webster officiating. Burial was in Bethabra Baptist Church Cemetery.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
