JEFFERSON – Jane Silman Ray, 80, died Thursday, August 6, 2009.
Born on July 2, 1929, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Maxwell and Rena Mae Payne Silman. She was the retired head bookkeeper for the First National Bank of Jackson County and was a member of the Jefferson Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Hollis Ray, Jefferson; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Owen and Deborah Ray, Madison, Wis.; daughter and son-in-law, Connie Ray and Tim Love, Pendergrass; brother, Robert Ellis Silman, Martinez; sisters, Maxine Silman Edwards, Monroe, and Pat Silman Love, Lavonia; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 9, at 2 p.m., in the Jefferson Presbyterian Church with Minister Michael Jarrett officiating. Burial will be in the Evans Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, August 8, from 6 to 9 p.m.
