Betty Ann Allen

MARIETTA – Betty Ann Allen, 79, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009.

Born in Madison County, she lived most of her life in Marietta. She was a homemaker and a beloved member of Hill Street Baptist Church in Marietta.

Survivors include her husband, Billy H. Allen, Marietta; son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. H. Bryan Allen and Renee Allen, Duncanville, Ala.; daughter, Diann Dilbeck, Powder Springs; sisters, Hazel Gay, Acworth, and Patricia Thompson, Athens; grandchildren, Amanda Raines, Jonathan Raines, Ben Allen and Zach Allen; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 7, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with the Revs. H. Bryan Allen and Dewey Cobb officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. at the Gordon’s United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hull. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, August 6, from 5 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Billy Graham Ministries, 1 Billy Graham Pkwy., Charlotte, NC 28201-0001.
West Cobb Funeral Home, Marietta, is in charge of arrangements.
