COMMERCE – Merlin James Edward Stewart, 70, died Monday, August 3, 2009.
Born in Hall County, he was the son of the late Raymond and Evia Campbell Stewart. He was a retired brick mason, a member of White Plains Baptist Church, and was a United States Army veteran.
Survivors include a sister, Linda Lee, Commerce; brothers, Robert Stewart, Jefferson, Ronnie Stewart, Carrolton, and Gary Stewart, Buford; and several nieces and nephews.
The body was cremated and private family services will be held at a later date.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of services.
