BRASELTON – Nancy P. Chalmers, 71, died Saturday, August 1, 2009.
She was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Braselton and was a retired program analyst from CDC in Atlanta, where she worked for over 20 years. She received her Associate’s Degree from Mars Hill College, her BS Degree from Mercer University, and her Master’s Degree from the University of Georgia. She was a beloved wife, mother and “nana” and made a positive difference in the lives of all those she touched.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, the Rev. Jack Chalmers; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Phil Campbell, Snellville, Kim and Kevin King, Hoschton; sons and daughter-in-law, Mark Chalmers, Braselton, David and Kathy Chalmers, Grayson; grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Charlene, Chris, Mary, Jack, Denver, Nancy and David; and brother and sister-in-law, Maurice and Connie Pridmore, Greenwood, S.C.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 5, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mike Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, at the funeral home.
