ALTO – Karen S. Oliver Turner, 46, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Habersham County Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Born in Hall County on August 10, 1962, she was the daughter of B.L. Oliver of Alto and the late Magdalene Lackey Oliver. She was a clerk with the United States Forestry, Albert International and Ace Hardware. She was a member of Bethesda Fellowship and was musically inclined, having enjoyed playing the piano and singing. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by a brother, Adrian Oliver; and father-in-law, John William Turner.
Survivors in addition to her father include her husband, Jeffery Turner, Alto; a son, Shannon Turner, Alto; brothers, Every Oliver and Buck Oliver, both of Alto; mother-in-law, Hazel Howard and husband, L.G. Howard, Cleveland.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 25, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Revs. Fred Enlow and John Graham officiating. Burial will be in Yonah Congregational Holiness Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, July 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
