WINDER – Irene Cox Morris, 97, died Thursday, July 16, 2009.
Born in Walton County, she was the daughter of the late Fred E. and Missouri Austin Cox. She was a member of Midway Christian Church and was retired from the garment business as a floor supervisor. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Morris; and a brother, Reese Cox.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles L. and Charlotte Morris; grandchildren, Mike Morris and Patti Faglier; great-grandchildren, Drew Morris, Ryan Morris and Brooke Pitts; and a sister, Marguerite Mooney, Winder.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 18, at 4 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Al Garvin officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, July 17, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
