‘Missy’ Morgan

WINDER – Melinda “Missy” Bailey Morgan, 46, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009.

Born in Jefferson County, Ala., she was the daughter of Gene and Ernestine Blackwell Bailey of Winder. She was a 20-year member of the community, graduated from the University of Georgia in 1984, and Georgia State in 1985 with her master's and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi. She was a speech pathologist at Bethlehem Elementary School, was the past president of both the PTO at Bethlehem Elementary School and the Barracuda Swim Team. Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Bailey.

Survivors in addition to her parents include her husband, Les Morgan, Winder; sons, Will and Ryan Morgan, Winder; daughter, Heidi Morgan, Winder; brother, Walter Bailey, Statham; sisters, Fonda Sullivan, Winder, and Celena Davis,
Braselton.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 18, at 2 p.m., at the Bethlehem First Baptist Church with Muriel Cash and Julie Peck officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, July 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
