Howard Deschner

NICHOLSON – Howard Roy Deschner, 70, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009.

Born on April 1, 1939, in Newton, Kan., he was the son of the late Lester and Vivian Haynes Deschner. He was a self-employed drywall finisher.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Cathey Deschner, Nicholson; children, Angie Deschner, Ft. Worth, Texas, Michael Aaron and Katie Cathey, Brock, Texas, Robin and Bill Vigliotte, Omaha, Neb., Wanda and Thomas Smith, Cumming, Lynn and Rudy Dominquez, Augusta, Travis Cathey, Ft. Worth, Texas; brothers, Wilbur and Edith Deschner, Kansas, Bob and Edwina Deschner, Colorado; a sister, Barbara Spalitta, California; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will be cremated after the visitation.
