Beverly Pittman

NICHOLSON – Beverly Dean Pittman, 71, died Saturday, July 4, 2009, at Heritage Healthcare of Athens.

Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late David Cecil and Margarite Harris Matthews. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and was retired from Wilkins Industrial. Mrs. Pittman was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Grady Pittman.

Survivors include daughters, Deborah Jarrard, Hull, and Tara Hembree, Nicholson; sons, Phil Pittman, Nicholson, and Matt Pittman, Glasklo, Ky.; a sister, Barbara Hembree, Winterville; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10, at 3 p.m., at New Harmony Baptist Church with the Revs. Andy Edwards and David Harbin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
