Herbert Fox

NICHOLSON – Herbert Fox, 84, died Thursday, June 18, 2009.

Born in Pickens County on September 30, 1924, he was the son of the late Colie and Susie Wilkins Fox.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Fox, Monroe; children, Bobby and Evelyn Fox and Sandra Jenkins, all of Madison, David and Charlotte Fox and Danny Fox, all of Monroe, Barbara and Terry Blalock and Geraldine and Michael Hodges, all of Nicholson, Linda and Bo McDaniel, Walnut Grove, Glenda and Randy Moore, Gray; sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Hugh Gravley, Jasper, Shirley and Alton Beck, Jasper, Rose Horton, Douglas, Ala.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Denton and Evelyn Fox, Jim and Pat Fox, all of Jasper; 17 grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 21, in the chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Malcom officiating. Pallbearers were grandchildren, Tim Hodges, Brian Blalock, Ricky Blalock, Steven Fox, Chad Moore, Lee Jenkins, Chris Jenkins, Johnny Jenkins and Jessie Jenkins. Burial was at Hill Haven Cemetery.

Meadows Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
